Hi all,

Can anyone recommend some good reading on Swing, in particular how to switch from one window to another without having multiple windows showing on your toolbar, but retaining the ability to switch back to a previously opened window? I have been mostly using JFrame but maybe switching between different JPanels on the same basic frame would be more appropriate?

Any help greatly appreciated.

sounds along the lines of MDI model ... maybe jinternalframe will help?

If you have not considered JInternalFrame, you may want to look at

Sun's How to Use Internal Frames tutorial.

If I'm mis-understanding your question, pls reply.

hth!
