LwVCL is powerful, small (J2SE LwVCL core is ~ 155 Kb in JAR), fast,
thrifty to system resources, visual components framework that provides
rich set of customizable, flexible user interface components including
Popup Menu, Splitter and Border Panels, Text Area, Combo Box, Notebook,
Grid, Tree Grid, Tree, Masked Input, List, Spin, Scroll and many others
the full list contains ~ 30 UI components).

LwVCL is not just a components set - it is a solid GUI toolkit that adds transparent support for the different platforms. At the moment the following LwVCL versions are available:
  • J2SE / J2ME Personal Profile LwVCL
  • J2ME MIDP LwVCL (draft version)
  • .NET LwVCL

  • starting from the new version:
  • Eclipse SWT (Standard Widget Toolkit) LwVCL

  • (have all LwVCL components working under SWT !)

As a result you have unified GUI framework for different platforms that provides the same:
  • API
  • UI Components Set
  • Concept
  • Look and Feel
