Please suggest some good online articles that provide an overview of the Swing. I do not really have to know how to code something specific. But, I do need a good conceptual knowledge about this technology.

Hi Jen,
Why don't you use the sun original Tutorial? I think it has a very good explanation for the basic things.

Hi Jen,

You may also use JFrameBuilder which is a Swing GUI builder generating pure Java code for building your Swing GUI. It would be helpful for you to understand how to use Swing components quickly.

Thank you for trying to help me about the Swing. The URL provided and the tool that shows the Java codes seem to address how to "program" certain components.

I need to learn the "conceptual" part of the Swing. For example, in contrast to AWT, the Swing is light weighted; certain components in Swing, JWindow, JApplet, JFrame, JDialog, are heavy weighted though; Swing paints layers on the screen; etc.

Are there online articles to introduce those kind of concepts?
