toolbars in JFrame

I created a window by extending JFrame.it has munubars.I need to create toolbar as short cuts to the menu items. How can I do it?

Create a new toolbar. Make the JFrame's content pane have a borderlayout. Then add the toolbar to the content pane at BorderLayout.NORTH.
