How to write Arabic text  RSS feed

Hi everyone,

I'm trying to build an application that mostly contains arabic(unicode) text from right to left for both as displayed and for the user of the application to enter text .... i'm using j2sdk 1.4.2 and JCreator to write my code .. So could anyone plz help me finding a way to do that ??

Hello ola,

you should should check first how your OS manage arabic inputs/display. For example, Windows will propably requires you to install a special package that finally add a language in the languages bar (that enables to switch between languages). You should then be able to emulate how Windows switch between languages to switch between languages in your application.

Hi,

I suggest that you read up about the Java Locale object and look for some tutorials on the web about internationalisation of java swing componants. I think even the java swing tutorial has good information about it.

I remember reading about how you can set the input methods on swing text componants to make the text go from right to left.

It's out there and it is possible.
