Any way to display entire text documents on GUI component?

I need to display a user manual type help document on a my GUI is there some way i can do this?
Using what JComponent?

What you need to do depends on what format the document is in (Winword? RTF? HTML? PDF? Plain text?) and what you want it to look like. Details, please.

Hi Fiona

For displaying plain text document, you can just use JTextArea.
For displaying RTF or HTML format document, you may use JTextPane.
