I want to create a new bufferedImage, but the scale of the image that I want to create needs to be of double width and height as opposed to int:

For example:

Any ideas of how I can do this. I need to end up with a buffered image in order to pass to and AffineTransform filter.

Thanks for reading
cheers

I think I have the answer myself. You cannot create an image that is 12.7 pixels wide because you cannot get 0.7 of a pixel, is this correct or is it possible to do?
