We recently migrated from oracle 9i AS to Oracle10g Application server.
There was no change in the swing application. Now we are facing bad performance of swing gui with oracle10g. During the phase of calculation, when cpu utilization is 100%, the window refreshing, tree node selection..are not happening. Can anybody tell me what could be the problem ?
Is there any setting which can solve this performance problem ?

Note: With 9iAS, even cpu utilization was 100% during calculation, but we could able to select tree nodes and could able to do some operations in window.

Doesn't really sounds like a Swing issue. The only thing I can think of is that you have event dispatch thread issues. Perhaps before the db was just fast enough not to notice them. However, the new setup is bogging down the EDT with calls to the db. If you check out this post, there is a link to some ways to check if this is the case.
