i am using gridBagLayout ..i have a panel with buttons and text fileds..
all text fileds are equal in size except the line where there is a button next to the text field ..that is very strange and i dont know how to fix it
anyhelp !!!

i am using netbeans guibuilder so i dont have the code ..all i have is the custmize screen that i choose the options from!!!

I STRONGLY suggest that you put aside your GUI builder and go through the Java Tutorial: Creating a GUI with Swing. There are some pitfalls to GUI design in Java and if you don't understand how components and layouts collaborate to create a GUI, a GUI builder will just get you into trouble faster.

Try JFrameBuilder which generates human readable GUI code.

I agree with Joe on this. Even with a human readable IDE GUI creator, if you don't understand how swing works you'll have a tough time understanding that code.
