Ekkon Technologies rebrands as Elastic Path to better reflect its position as the most developer friendly, flexible Java ecommerce software available

Vancouver, BC, Canada, March 21, 2005 -- Ekkon Technologies, the developer of MerchantSpace Commerce, the leading mid-market ecommerce solution for the J2EE platform, announced today that it has changed its name to Elastic Path Software, Inc. The new name underscores the company's vision of providing the most flexible, choice enabling, ecommerce software architecture available.

Effective immediately, the new name and logo will designate not only the company's corporate identity but also its leading enterprise ecommerce server, formerly branded MerchantSpace.

Selection of a new name was initiated to create a singular brand name and identity for the company and its products going forward. Elastic Path was an optimal choice due to its consistency with the vision of the organization Flexibility First.

"Aligning behind a single name, Elastic Path, is a milestone for this company. It allows us to reaffirm our dedication and commitment to our Flexibility First approach, making successful long-term commerce projects possible within any evolving technology environment," said Harry Chemko, Chief Executive Officer.
