Hi I've written a pacman game using a class extending JApplet. And a class extending JPanel.
When it executes, my processor is being killed. I have a 1G ram, 3GHz Pentium 4, and when the game is running, the CPU usage is at 50%.
When I've played other JavaApplet Games, the CPU speed is fairly low. Is there anyway of avoiding this. I know the repaint() method is being called frequently, but I don't know how other games get away with this.
