The first XQuery component to implement the XQuery API for Java� (XQJ), DataDirect XQuery�, is now available in beta. DataDirect XQuery allows you to query XML, relational databases, or a combination of the two and integrate the results for any XML you need. It does not require any other product or application server, and has no server of its own � making it easily embeddable into your applications. You can use the beta to process XQuery expressions against Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server and IBM DB2, directly from within your Java applications.
