Calling the paint() method of superclass()

Dear Readers,
Belated Merry X'Mas. Can over-rided methods of superclass be called??
This is what I have:

public abstract class Graph [B]extends JPanel[/B]
{
    //Code
    public void paint(Graphics g)
    {
        //Code
    }
    //Code
}

public class BarGraph extends Graph
{
    public void paint(Graphics g)
    {
        [B]//Here I want to call the paint() method
        //of superclass and then execute the rest of the statements in
        //this method[/B]
 
        //code
    }
}

Please suggest on what I should do if the above technique is not possible. This is because the basic layout of the Graph will be painted by the superclass paint() method.

you should be using paintComponent(), instead of paint()
then BarGraph's code becomes

class BarGraph extends Graph
{
  public void paintComponent(Graphics g)
  {
    super.paintComponent(g);//<--------------the method you want
    g.drawString("Hello World",25,25);
  }
}

Well, just nest up the tags.
Instead of these signs '<' and '>' you have to use the normal ones like '[' and ']'. I used it here so that you could see it without that also getting parsed.
