Hi,

I am new to Java programming. I am just learning how to code.

I have the following requirements.

1) I should be able to open a Word document in Java Applet screen.
2) I have to search for specific terms in the Word Document.
3) If the match occurs, the particular term should be highlighted in the
word document.
4) I should be able to save the updated Word document.

Could anyone guide me.

Thanks,
Arun

Those requirements are completely inappropriate for someone new to Java programming. Interfacing Java with MS Word is not at all a simple thing to do. You should go back to whoever gave you those requirements and get something simpler.

It is sorta covered in the JavaRanch Style Guide.
