Hello,

I've been using a JTable fine for the last year but when we went to the 5.0 jdk, alot of the functionality is locked up!

I've been searching the web for a description, but if you may have any inisghts into this prolem, i would appreciate any links, references, pointers ect!

Thanks much!

This is definitelly a topic for the Swing/etc... forum.

I don't know what you mean by "locked up" and I don't know which features of JTable follow under "a lot". Could you post a minimal sample program that demonstrates one specific thing that works under 1.4 but not 1.5?

Well some of the problems are 1. can't see the scrolling bar anymore 2. can't change the width of the columns dynamically 3. can't see the first 20 rows of the table or the header line and window controls!

I do see that there is an older jdk on the system and i found this example on the web of how to compile with an older version:

javac -target 1.4 -bootclasspath jdk1.4.2/lib/classes.zip \
-extdirs "" OldCode.java

but our /lib diretory doesn't have that "classes.zip" file

Thanks!

Let's take these one at a time, with sample code:

Can you see the vertical scroll bar?
