drag and drop from awindows file manager

hi all,

is it possible in java to drag and drop a file from windows into a java application.
Iam developping the interface for an application that supports file sharing, and I want the user to drag and drop the file it wants to share into some part of the GUI.

is that possible? if yes how can it be done ???
