As my previous post mentioned, I'm working on a team that's doing some redign work. And personally, I've not worked on a large Java project, so I'm looking for suggestions for best practices.
This question revolves around button clicks. What's considered good programming practice to handle mouse clicks while the cursor is in a textbox. Where the mouse click is to do something completely different, so don't validate the text already entered.
For example, we have a clear button, so no need to validate text already entered into a control, as the user has already said just to throw it away.
