Hi,

I am using a customized text field which looks like an IP Address field. i.e 255.255.255.255 All validations have been done in this customized component. When I set a preferred size of this component, it does not look like an IP Address field and becomes inaccessible. I have verified the properties such as editable, enabled etc. Everything looks fine.

Does anyone have idea ?

bye for now

if you really want a solution, you would need to post the customized code.

Do you think that the problem exists in the customized code? I am facing problem when I set a preferred size for this component in the panel.

I have no idea what/where the problem is, but if you customize a component so
it's standard behaviour is different, that is generally the place to start.

post a demo program, just a frame with panel and your customized textfield
