viewing all Files of a single directory

Hi friends..

say...

String path="C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator.MATRIX\My Documents\Manoj\Applets\AppletProject\images";
and the images folder has different types of image files..

What i want is to view all the files of the images directory in my swing page..

Please please please HELP ME.....!

Hi.

You can use the list method of the File object as follows:

    
// The directory with all of the files
File myDirectory = new File("C:\myDirectoryName");
 
// Make sure the directory exists and is actually a directory
if ( myDirectory.exists() && myDirectory.isDirectory() ) {
   // List the files
   String[] fileNameList = myDirectory.list();
}
else {
   System.err.println("Not a valid directory");
}
