Hi folk!

Joining the previous question on transparent JInternal frame, i was wondering if it was possible to display plain text in a JDesktopPane.

This could be usefull for a kind of log tracking: rather than having a JInternalFrame dedicated to the log, on could then send the log info directly to the Desktop pane.

Thanks,
jy

Sure you can.
JDesktopPane is a Container, just like a JPanel. Just add the required JLabel or JTextArea as needed to the JDesktopPane. Note that any JInternalFrames will always appear "on top" of the components added to the desktop.

Why would you want to send log info to the JDesktopPane? That's not really what it was designed for.
