Hi I'm new to SWT and relatively new to GUI programming, that said I'm not a total newbie to programming I just work mainly with servlets etc.
I've started creating a GUI and have some questions, I want to have a list of buttons down the left side of the gui, at the moment i have done this by creating a composite and creating a few buttons on it, now when i press the buttons I wish for a different layout to appear for each button, e.g calander, text box, etc in the rest of the window, at the moment I have created a composite and are destroying it and replacing it with another after the buttons pressed, but the window only updates when the mouse is moved, not straight after the button is pressed, how can i fix this??, I'm already calling layout() on the composite on the button press, also is destroying the composites the best way to do this surely there is a better way??

Thanks for any help.
Tim.

It is sorta covered in the JavaRanch Style Guide.
