I have a small swing based application.
When the porcessing is happening I want some mesages to be displayed to the user which tells him at what stage the processing is in (sort of progress bar).

Say, there are 100 files to be copied. So, as an when each file is copied a message should be displayed, like

File 1 successful
File 2 successful
File 3 successful
File 4 successful
File 5 successful
File 6 successful
....

So that the user knows some processing is happening in the background (Similar to the mesages which are displayed when Tomcat is installed).

I have written some sample code for that

The problem with this code is that, messages are displayed when all the processing is finished. How can messages be displayed when processing is happening?

Please help

Have a look at our FAQ article: JProgressBarDoesntUpdate

With a little knowledge, a cast iron skillet is non-stick and lasts a lifetime.
