I want to wide the functionality of swt List by adding a couple of extra methods, but it says Subclassing not allowed. I can override checkSubclass to make it omit the deriving check, but as I understood thats not recommended. How actually dangerous is it and what is another way to extend standard widget functionality.
Thanks in advice.
