Collapse borders for embedded JTabbedPane

How do I collapse the border lines into a single line?

Here's the code for above example.

I don't understand 'border lines'

if you mean all the tabs on one line,
tabbedPane.setTabLayoutPolicy(JTabbedPane.SCROLL_TAB_LAYOUT);

This image shows a similar concept, except that the outer tabs is on the right side.



If you look at my screenshot, I'd like to eliminate the multiple lines on the left/right/bottom.

  protected void paintContentBorderRightEdge(Graphics g,int tabPlacement,int selectedIndex,int x,int y,int w,int h){}
  protected void paintContentBorderBottomEdge(Graphics g,int tabPlacement,int selectedIndex,int x,int y,int w,int h){}
});

you may need to tweak 'paintContentBorderTopEdge' if you want them the same width

Try the following:

UIManager.put("TabbedPane.contentBorderInsets", new Insets(0, 0, 1, 0));
