Current Desktop app approaches
posted 8 years ago
I'm just curious as to what the most common/ and even modern upcoming approaches are when it comes to writing desktop apps.
Myself I'm a Netbeans fan and find their gui designer a great tool, however I'm more interested as to what additional frameworks people use if any to aid in their development.
side of things, I've been using a spring/hibernate combo for a while, Do people use object persistance commonly in the desktop side also ?
I remember looking at the Spring RCP a while ago, that looked interesting.
Looking forward to hearing your thoughts....
