Dear friends,

I have a "Browse" button in mmt Swing interface which pops up a dialog box.
I have used JFileChooser for this operation. By default "My Documents" folder of MS-Windows is displayed in the dialog.

In that particular folder only "New Folder" icon is disabled and also cannot create new folder by right clicking. But that "New Folder" icon is enabled in all the other directories and folders except "My Documents".
This was reported as a bug in java:

http://bugs.sun.com/bugdatabase/view_bug.do?bug_id=4847375

JFileChooser chooser = new JFileChooser();
chooser.showOpenDialog(parent);

What should i provide in the parent?

Kindly provide your help.
Thanks & Regards,
Vijay

The bug which you shown has the status CLOSED,FIXED
I still have to try that one..

For your second query which is about the parent

parent is of type Component in which you can specify your JFrame object

Thanks for the reply.

They have made a workaround for that

I don't know how to implement this one. As suggested, we should change the read-only attribute of the directory.

Regards,
Vijay
