customizing JTable

Situation:
I have a graphics application that displays a custom 2-D array object with its data. The array properties and corresponding values are displayed in a JTable in an editor (the user is allowed to edit property values). Properties are displayed in col 0, values in col 1 (for example, color | red).
Problem:
For the 'data' property only, I would like the corresponding cell in col 1 to display another JTable so the user can edit the array data in an intuitive manner.
Question:
Is this even possible, and if so, how can I do it?

Thanks for your help.

With a little knowledge, a cast iron skillet is non-stick and lasts a lifetime.
