We have designed one application in which we are provding locking facility after some idle time. This type of facility we are getting with operating systems like XP.

Now my problem :

When main frame of my application is locked and when

I am doing one operation (writing large contents of table into multiple files) in one thread and completion of this thread shows one customized JDialog.

Now problem is that when job of data processing is completed thread will show dialog but at that time main frame is locked and dialog is coming(painting itself) on top of main frame.

So I want to know some work around that how can I keep dialog inside when main frame is locked and when user again log in at that we have to show that dialog.

Please help me.Provide some good work around.

Eagerly waiting for reply.

why are you giving me sun developer forum link.
Same question I have posted there so that I can get multiple solutions.
I have done this because many times I am not getting one reply in one forum.

Yes, but it is courteous to tell readers of both fora that you are posting here and at Sun. Read the FAQ link.

And Maneesh Godbole gave you the first link because he expected it would help answer your problem.

Oh, sorry, I was mistaken about the first link. It wasn't another JavaRanch thread.

Sorry again.
