Play Video on JFrame  RSS feed

hey i am working on my mini project for my 3rd year graduation.
Here i am required to play a video on the button click event.
So plzz help me out.
What class to use, i tried MediaTracker class but that can only associate images with the JFrames.
Lastly i am using JFrames(no applets).

Please help me out.

So there's no applet involved at all? In that case, I'll move it over to the AWT/Swing/GUI forum.

As for movie playback, there are a number of libraries available, notably JMF, QuickTime for Java and jVLC (all of which are linked in the OtherOpenSourceProjectsFaq). If it can play the format you're interested in, I'd go with JMF (also known as Java Media Framework).
