I have doubt about MouseEvent consume(). And, what it is used for?
As, I tried an example and I could not figure out what it was doing

Please give your suggestions on this

The above code from Michael compiles and runs just perfectly using Java 1.4
 
It is sorta covered in the JavaRanch Style Guide.
