Howdy Folks,
I need some urgent help.
I have been trying in vain to get JRun 2.3.1 to work on NT Server(sp 6)
Can anyone help me with:
1. How do I know that JRun is working?, when I try to browse http://127.0.0.1 I get page not found.
2. I am using JRun without any external server like IIS or Netscape Entprise, so do I run JRun in NT Service mode or in Application mode.
3. Any URl where I can find more info about JRun troubleshooting would be much appreciated.
I need this help urgently
Thank you very much

Hi
First things first.
- Jrun has to 'plug-in' to a webserver like ISS or Apache or something.
- You test it by going to
http://localhost/servlet/HelloWorldServlet
If this doesn't work, (a big HELLO WORLD message shows) it isn't installed properly.
If you run it as a service then it's managed by the OS so if you logout or reboot it will restart the Jrun 'server' automatically, you don't really get all the flexibility when it's in APP mode.
The Jrun Support Forum at Allaire has helped me fix MOST of my problems with Jrun so I would suggest you start there if you are really stuck.
http://www.allaire.com
Click on Products / Jrun / Support then look down the left side list for the Jrun support Forum.
Good luck.

Anytime
It's why we 'saddle up' to the bar once in awhile.
For the fun, the laughs, the code and the pretty girls.
(in no particular order)
