Hi !
I have downloaded and installed JSWDK1.0.1. I could start the server. My problem is when local file is requested using http://localhost:8080/ , my browser IE4.0, pops up a window saying I should get connected to the Internet. Once connected, i get the same page from the folder on my hard disk.
Can anybody help me solving the problem ?
Thanks
Srini

This is one of the many irritating Windows behaviours. I used to get this until I uninstalled all the network stuff from Windows, then re-installed both LAN access and Dial-up networking. Unfortunately, I can't remember which order I installed them in, if it matters.
If anyone knows of a way to change this priority on a running system, please let me know, too.

I found something more on that. I connect to the Internet, work for sometime and disconnect. I could work little over half hour accessing the stuff on my hard disk before the problem resurfaced again. Funny ?
