Hi,
I'm trying to setup tomcat server,but facing problems.I think
the path and other environment parameters are not setup properly.
I've tomcat at c:\tomcat\jakarta-tomcat and jdk at c:\jdk1.2.1
I've set JAVA_HOME=c:\jdk1.2.1;
and TOMCAT_HOME=c:\tomcat\jakarta-tomcat;
could someone tell me what other parameters I need to setup and
how should my path and classpath look like.
I'm new to this computing field itself and I'm not good at
setting path and classpath.
any help would be appreciated much
thank you
Anu

Anu,
First of all I recommend U download a latest version of JDK as JDK1.2.1 causes some wierd problems with TOMCAT.
Works fine with JDK1.3. set your JAVA_HOME as c:\jdkx.x.x.\bin.
U try with downloading the JDK 1.3 and after that if U have problems do post messages here and someone will help U out for sure.

Actually, JAVA_HOME=c:\jdk1.2.2
not jdk1.2.2\bin - it needs to find bin and lib from that root.
I can confirm that JDK 1.2.1 causes problems, 1.2.2 or 1.3 is essential.
