when can an instance of JspTranslationExcpeption is thrown?
What kind of errors my be reported by an Error Reporter?

I looked in Sun's javax.servlet.jsp package and did not find your Exception. It may be that it's a "custom" exception thrown by your particular JSP container.
It sounds like "compilation error" to me, but then again, I don't even know which hardware and software platform you are using

I am thinking that this JspTranslationException is nothing but a god foresaken waste of time. I t has been created by IBM to throw people of the scent when they are preparing for their exam in Websphere. Beware the keieving b*st*&ds! Adios and good day. :-)
