Hello,
Since this is my first e-mail to you, I want to
introduce myself.I am Rajpal Kandhari (greenhorn),
M/28/Indian(in India)/Bachelor . Basically i am a
Mechanical Engineer working for Singapore Shipping
(that is Merchant Shipping). Since May this year i
started learning computers. I have Studied Oracle 8i,
Developer R6.0, Oracle Application Server, Core
Java,
HTML, JavaScript. Now I am studying Setvlets and
JDBC.
After this i have to learn RMI,
JSP,
EJB, CORBA before
i take any offical job as web Developer. I am learning
Servlets on Java Web Server 1.1.3. And OS is Win98. (I
am very comfortable with WinNT also and an switch over
that any time). But i have to still learn Unix and
Linux.
Ok now for
testing my skill at Servlets i was making
a small project on Discussion Forum. And I am taking
all the Idea of making the forum from you're Java
Ranch Big Moose Saloon. My First question "Do you have
any Objection on that? In any case do i violate any
copy right law of Java Ranch Big Moose Saloon?"
If I don't violate any law then do you give me
permission of copying you're idea and i make a
discussion form based on you're forum guidelines. Well
i want to ensure you that i am doing this purely to
gain practcle experiance. And this is the only way i
see how i can polish my skills and can learn more.
Even my approach on problem solving will increase.
I have done some thing and would like to show you
all. By that you will come to know excatly what i am
planning to do and where i stand. Since yet i don't
know how to post things on net, what i can do is send
you my servlet code and html code, if you decide to
have a look at it.
But the main thing is that i can not do all the
thing by myself. Presently i am working all alone on
this project and here i don't have anyone to help me
out. By this i mean i don't have any experts of you're
caliber.
So when you guys give me green signal, then i would
like to take help of you're forum discussing with
people in the forum difficulties (and possible
solution/guidelines) on how to work on this thing. So
for that pls tell me in which forum shall i do all my
discussion? Do you have any seperate forum on
Projects?
Kindly oblige me with you're co-ordination and
