A user submits a form and sees a Jsp page. If he wants wants to get back to the previous page, a message saying "the page has expired" is shown. The scope of the bean used is set to session. How do I go about solving this problem ?

"the page has expired" sounds like a browser message rather than anything from the server. How was the page you are trying to back up to generated? Maybe it had headers that tell the browser not to cache it?
