I am using JRUN. I have defined some class variable in my pages. When i close all the windows of my browser and come back again, i can still view those variables from my session. But when i use those variables in service methods i cant see those variables.
Is there any way to reinitialize class variables when open my site after closing all the browser windows.
How can i invalidate a session when i close my browser window.

If you mean static variables, they should certainly keep a value for the life of the servlet. Servicing individual requests should not use any static or instance variables to store information specific to a given request.
Opening/closing browser windows had nothing to do with initializing the servlet - but could affect cookies that the servlet would recognize.
The lifetime of a session depends on settings in the servlet engine. 30 minutes seems to be a common lifetime.
