hi list,
having a problem with a jsp on our website.
the form has a textfield on it, when a value is entered on this screen and return key is hit we get a servlet error. now i know why we are getting the servlet error. its because we dont have all the values we need to navigate around as it is done using buttons and no button has been pressed.
but what i cant understand is why this results in a page exit in the first place. on every other page the return key seems to be disabled and results in a beep and no change when pressed but on this page it exits the jsp. feel free to e-mail me with any suggestions, it would be much appreciated as i've been looking at this for a while and its doing my head in!
cheers
charles

I think I remember that if the testfeild is within a form and you hit the return key the form is submitted, if the textfeild is not within a form nothing happens...
hope this helps
