All Http errors starting with number four(4) are related to the requested resource is NOT FOUND. This may be due to the address you typed at the browser may have some errors. Try to check the url you typed at the browser's address bar.

I typed in http://localhost/servlet/HelloWorld just like it was described in the book.
Thank you,

I think you missed the port. It should be http://localhost:8080/servlet/HelloWold
Just check it. Which servlet container are you using?

Thank you Maha..
I am using Tomcat 3.1. It was mentioned in the installation guide that I change the port from 8080 to 80. The book 'Core Servlets and Java server Pages by Marty Hall' also indicated to type in http://localhost/servlet/HelloWorld as the URL
Thank you very much,
Chuck
