for your engine I would have to reccomend JRun with apache. professional jsp is probably one of the best books for jsp (if you think there is a better jsp book please tell me.)
www.jspinsider.com has some nice tutorials and such. you can get jrun from jrun.com and its free for developers edition (read small print when you download jrun)
