how can i call the function which is written on my own useing the a href tag.

my prg is all most bout 600 lines. i can posiably past it here i will try to explain my problem, now supose i have a function which going to display "hello" now i should b able to activate this function user a link say "click here".

Remember, a servlet or JSP can only create a HTML page - servlet code lives on the server, not in the browser.
If you want the user to click on a control and get a page with your content, the control has to have a URL that addresses a servlet or JSP that generates the content.

Just exactly like addressing any other resource on the server.
