out of environment error in the TOMCAT server(desperate to run my first JSP program)

i have downloaded the TOMCAT server and have set the JAVA_HOME and the TOMCAT_HOME varaibles in the tomcat.bat file but when i run the tomcat.bat it gives me the error:
OUT OF ENVIRONMENT SPACE
please help in rectifying the error

The end of your CONFIG.SYS file should include a line like the following:
SHELL=C:\COMMAND.COM C:\ /E:4096 /P
This assumes your COMMAND.COM file is in your root level C: directory and you wish your shells to start in that directory, too. The 4096 is the new environment size. You can increase this to a larger number if that is still a problem.
if you are working in the windows 95/98 OS then check out the properties of the command prompt and set the memory to 4096 in the GUI.

thank you my environment problem has been solved but now there is one more problem ie
when i start the tomcat all the jar files are listed and at the end the error comes like BAD COMMAND OR FILENAME
please help

IMHO, I think you need to define your TOMCAT_HOME and JAVA_HOME
in your autoecex.bat file found in C:\ dir, not in
tomcat.bat file.
