Updating Report Pages.

Hi folks,
There is one problem I want to discuss with you.
I my application, if a client is looking at some report and meanwhile some updation or insertion or deletion happens in the table related to that report those changes should get fleshed/refreshed to the client immediately.
I will be glad if you can forword your suggestions.

Since a server can't initiate transmission, you will have to have some process on the browser that polls the server to see if a change in the data has occurred. If a change has occurred the process must initiate a request to regenerate the HTML.
There are lots of possibilities for this process - for example, you might have an applet in an invisible frame.
