HI, friends
After unziping the jre-1_2_2_007-win.zip file, I cannot startup the famouse JSP server by startup.bat file. Why?
Could anyone throw any threads?
Can you tell me what the difference between JSP1.0 and JSP1.1 specification?
Thanks in advance
George

The usual cause is not enough Environment space in Win98 but since you don't give any details of your operating system, error messages or other indications of how it fails, thats just a guess.
Some of the things new in JSP 1.1 include custom tag libraries and compatibility with the servlet 2.2 API.

Hi, Bill
Thanks you. I can run Tomcat server now by following the instruction provided by jarat website. Everything is ok so far.
Some of the things new in JSP 1.1 include custom tag libraries and compatibility with the servlet 2.2 API.

If i run some <<%@ page language="language" %>> statement in a jsp file, it can not be excuted under the webshpere application server 3.0 or Visualage(v3.0) webshpere test environmnet. I know the default jsp version supported by Visuage or wAS3.0 is 0.91 and I migrated it to JSP1.0, but still failed.
Biil, can you give me some lights?
Thanks
George

Don't you want
<%@ page language="java" %>
as the page directive for JSP?
Surely you are getting some sort of informative error message when you try to run. I can't read peoples minds - just saying "it doesn't work" doesn't tell me much. I never will understand why people expect a miracle fix when they don't provide any information.
