Hi:
I am looking for a menu component that perform sort operations. The similar functionality like in Microsoft Outlook(Inbox). When you click on the From, Subject, Received items in the INBOX the contents will be sorted with respect to the respective header clicked. In the same way, the component should sort the resultset between ascending & descending order whenever the header is clicked. Can anyone give me some tips where to purchase/get the code..??
Any help is really appreciated!
Thanks:
Hari Pillai

I don't quite understand what you are looking for. Is this for use from a servlet or JSP, or would this be more appropriate asked in the Swing and AWT forum?

Ideally it should be called from a servlet.
Appreciate any tips!

So are you looking for some sort of HTML builder to construct a sorted <SELECT> from an unsorted Vector or List then?

Yes, adding to the same point we most likely will have hash tables inside the vector.
Thank you for your time

Here is a servlet I did up that I think does what you want. It sounds to me like you are grabbing data from a database and storing it in a ResultSet. That's the assumption I went off of, but if not you can easily change the code. I also assumed there was some reason you didn't want to "ORDER BY" your sql query.

Hope this helps. Study it, and if you have any questions I'll be happy to try and answer them.
Jay
