actually i want to run a servlet without using survletrunner
utility of jsdk2.0 i.e. using my own webserver program but i
am unable to do it.i don't have any idea about it.
i wanna know the steps which will have to be taken in order
to run any servlet through my own webserver program or to put
it straightforward i need the code of a simple webserver which
provide the facility of running a servlet through it and i want
this code to adhere only to the aforesaid area and not to the
other technicalities of a webserver

Servlets are server-side technology. You cannot execute a server with executing *any* web server that will actually execute the servlet.

Study the javax.servlet package, that's what you have to provide if you want to do it in your way.

Pretty specific requirements, man. You want a cherry on that?
Take a look at the source for Jetty, which is a pretty basic HTTP server and Servlet engine:
http://jetty.mortbay.com/
Or even better, check out Tomcat's source. You should be able to isolate the servlet container from the Web service without too much trouble (follow the package names):
http://jakarta.apache.org/tomcat
