Hi all,
I am pretty familiar with how Tomcat works as a servlet/jsp engine, but our administrators want to know if it is possible to do standard HTTP logging using Tomcat as stand-alone (without Apache or IIS) and get the standard HTTP traffic logs they are used to for reporting purposes. I can't find anything about this in the Tomcat documentation. Anyone know?
Thanks
Bill

since no one responded till now, i can't resist
throwing my ideas.........
Bill:
don't you think it would be like introducing something
like a std stuff in all your servlets/jsps and html pages
and then getting and writting the header of each request
to a log file.
Sure if tomcat does it, then we don't have to worry.
i am still digging into tomcat to see some doc on this.
(logWriter.enable=true) would do the job, just can't find
it yet!
regds.
