Can someone tell me what should the knowledge level in JSP and Servlets. I am reading the book of Oreilly and have also most finished. Does the book cover all the topics. Secondly in JSP I am using Techmedia / Sams is that book enough or do I need to buy some other book. Or a list of topics which I should know which could help in getting a job. Thanks Gang Hong
Exactly which books from O'Reilly are you referring to? The bar was raised when they published their JSP book not too long ago and then after that, just this month when they published the long awaited second edition of the highly acclaimed "Servlet Programming". Anyway, as for suggestions on finding a job, I suggest you write some servlets and JSPs and integrate them in a publicly available Web site for prospective employers to see... Also, I didn't see a reference in your post to the Sun Certified Programmer for the Java 2 Platform Certification which, in the case of no previous professional experience, could be a help in your job search, especially if you get a high score in it. You seem to have listed an invalid e-mail address for your account, email@example.com. Since you have asked our software to notify you every time someone replies to your topic, this creates a bounce message (yahoo says there is no user "gangindia"), which goes to us - me specifically. I suggest you use the "profile" link towards the upper right hand of the screen to modify your e-mail address so that you can receive these notices. Thanks.
