Server-side Includes and JSP

Hi,
This is just a thought.I had read long time back about Server-side includes.Used it at that time.But with JSP catching up and also being so simple, decided to focus more on JSP than on <SHTML> tags.
Are there any trade-offs between the two?

<jsp:include> accomplishes basically the same thing as a server-side include, so JSP probably has more functionality.

Thanks for the response.
Was reading Developing Enterprise Applications by Stephen Asbury and Scott R. Weiner.
Found one more technology on Server-side scripting called JHTML.It has tags like <java></java> which can be used in HTML code.
Is JHTML similar to JSP?Is it still being used in porduction evnvironments?
