My advice is to dump the JSDK and get the Tomcat package. As far as I can tell, Sun stopped switched all work on JSP and servlets to the Apache organization over a year ago. The JSDK is of historic interest only. Get Tomcat at:
http://jakarta.apache.org/
Tomcat 3.2 is compatible with the current servlet 2.2 API and JSP 1.1 API.
Be sure you erase all traces of the JSDK - especially that servlet.jar.

"Winning Smile",
The Java Ranch has thousands of visitors every week, many with surprisingly similar names. To avoid confusion we have a naming convention, described at http://www.javaranch.com/name.jsp .
We require names to have at least two words, separated by a space, and strongly recommend that you use your full real name. Please log in again with a new name which meets the requirements.
"Winning Smile" is obviously a pseudonym.
Thanks.
